Returning Equipment

 

When equipment is hired we charge customers 40% refundable deposit which will be paid fully or partially upon the return of the equipment hired so far. However, in order to recover 100% of the RD, the following conditions must be satisfied:

  • All equipment returned in their Original Quantities,
  • All equipment returned in their Original packaging or as they were received
  • All equipment returned Clean and Dry, (excludes where equipment cleaning service has been requested)
  • All equipment returned in their Good Working Conditions,
  • All equipment returned Without and defaults/dents/burnout,
  • All Equipment returned On Time i.e. 2 days after your event date unless prior arrangements have been agreed)
  • All Equipment returned On Time i.e. the same day or the next day after your event date. This applies to all equipment returned uncleaned

Returning Unclean Equipment

Below is how we expect all equipment to be repacked when returned to us unclean. The basic requirement is that all equipment must be dry and repackaged as they were received. All original packaging and partitioning must be maintained to secure the equipment while on transit.

 

All Dinner Plates, platters, bowls, teacup saucers

  • Wipe off any food particles from the dinner plates and make sure they are not wet/damp
  • Pack them back in their original packaging as they were received in units of 10, 12 or 13 units in each box, and separating them with cardboard sheets or any other material that was used to stop any friction or breakages

 

Teacups, Mugs, Wine goblets, Champagne Flutes, Hi-ball, glass jars

  • Wipe dry any drink residue
  • Repack as received and maintaining any partitioning provided to avoid breakages

 

Cutlery and Utensils

  • Wipe off any food particles and place the cutlery back into the cases/packaging provided

 

Chafing Equipment and components

  • Remove any fuel cans from the burners and put the lids back
  • Wipe off any food particles/residue from the food pan and make sure they are not wet/damp
  • Wipe dry any excess water or food residue from the water cans/baine maries
  • Wipe off any food residue off the stand
  • Before you insert water cans into another please put separators provided with the equipment to prevent them from getting stuck to each other.

 

Pump action airpots, decanters, teapots, etc.

  • Wipe off any beverage residue, water, etc. and make sure they are dry before packing them in their boxes

 

Water Boilers/Urns, Soup kettle

  • Wipe off any beverage residue, water, etc. and make sure they are dry before packing them in their boxes
  • Make sure the plug is covered and placed where it cannot be damaged or get wet.

 

Lost /Damaged Equipment

There are charges for lost equipment or damaged equipment beyond its intended use. Beyond intended use also refers to visible dents that are not good for display to the satisfaction of a user. Late Fees

You are required to return our equipment within a maximum of 2 days after your event date unless prior arrangements have been agreed. Please refer to point (10) of our T&Cs for any surcharges that can be imposed when our equipment is not returned on time as per booking order.
